History of Strala Yoga:-
Strala yoga is a modern form of yoga that was founded in 2008 by Tara Stiles.It was named after classical ballet dance form.
Tara Stiles trained with Paul Taylor Dance Company choreographer Eileen Cropley andstarted her yoga study in the 1990s with her ballet. It is now leading Strala classes around the globe in partner studios, gyms, and clubs. Strala’s started his worldwide training and practice in New York City.
Mike Taylor co-founder of Strala Yoga studied the science and movement part of that Yoga.He has practiced Eastern movement and healing, including tai chi and qi gong.
The science behind Strala Yoga:-
The science behind our stress and survival responses which release cortisol and endorphins into our system are designed to mask pain so we can escape from an immediate attack. We have become addicted to stress on a chemical level, and we put it in our work, exercise, health and healing practices.
This is not the sustainable strategy for health.It’s producing nearly every health problem such as digestive disorders and obesity,chronic painand weakened immunity, depression and anxiety, even diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s. We’re the only human being that works harder than needed to work even in simple things. It reduces our energy and makes it impossible to accomplish truly difficult things. So there must be a better way.
Strala yoga is designed to activate your body’s Relaxation Response responsible for overall health, healing, and wellbeing. First by breathing deep, second by doing breath exercise of body together, and third by learning to move your whole body.
Strala yoga provides specific approaches to strength, agility, endurance, Flexibility, mobility and stability, Meditation, breathing, and stress relief.
